Temporary closing of the reading room due to reconstruction, from 2nd April 2026
The Brno municipal archive announces that due to the resumption of reconstruction work in the archive building at the New City Hall, the archival documents stored there (fund A 1/1, part of fund A 1/3, V2, manuscript part of fund V3 and the entire fund group E) will be inaccessible to researchers from 2nd April 2026. This is a temporary measure, so please follow our website, where we will inform you in good time about the re-accessibility of the archival materials and the opening of the reading room to the public. Thank you for your understanding.
During the reconstruction period, it will be possible to submit applications and purchase publications at the New City Hall by prior arrangement.
Archive building in Černovice remains open in normal mode.
